Elijah Cummings Explodes And Screams At DHS Secretary For Abusing Separated Kids

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Elijah Cummings screamed at Trump’s acting DHS Secretary for abusing separated migrant children in detention centers.

After acting DHS Sec. Kevin McAleenan claimed that they were doing their very best to care for separated children, and talked about a database to track separated kids that doesn’t exist Rep. Cummings said, “And then we hear that you’re talking about a database. There’s no database. That seems to go in the opposite direction of transparency and therefore when we hear about stories coming out from you and your agency that everything is pretty good, and you’re doing a great job. I guess you feel like you’re doing a great job is that what you’re saying?”

McAleenan answered, “We’re doing our level best.”

Rep. Cummings erupted, “What does that mean? What does that mean when a child is sitting in their own feces? Can’t take a shower. Come on man, what’s that about? None of us would have our children in that position. They are human beings.”

Chairman Cummings perfectly expressed the rage of the nation at Trump’s organized abuse of innocent children. The Trump administration is lying. They are lying about how the children are being treated. They are lying about the recordkeeping related to the separated kids. What is happening to those children is a crime. Democrats have had enough of Trump’s child abuse as immigration policy, and they are holding Trump officials accountable for their heinous actions.
