Trump asked Sen. Kevin Kramer (R-ND) to block a resolution on Turkey’s genocide of the Armenian people to please Erdoğan.

The White House directed Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) to block an effort by Sens. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Thursday to pass a resolution via unanimous consent formally recognizing Turkey’s genocide of the Armenian people, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
This is the third time that the White House has directed a Republican senator to block the resolution, a symbolic measure already passed by the House that would infuriate Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Kramer has in the past sponsored a similar resolution recognizing the genocide.
Trump, even while being impeached, is doing the bidding of foreign authoritarians and dictators. US foreign policy is no longer being conducted in the best interests of the United States. Foreign policy is being run by any dime store dictator who has either flattered or bullied Donald Trump.
The world’s only superpower has become a stooge for strongmen both big and small.
