Rudy Giuliani Admits That He Went On An Illegal State Department “Mission” To Extort Ukraine For Dirt On Biden

Rudy Giuliani went on Fox News and laid out how Trump illegally used his personal lawyer and the State Department in an effort to extort Ukraine for dirt on Joe Biden.

Giuliani said on Hannity, “The State Department called and said would I take a call from Mr. Yermak who is the number two or three to the president-elect, now the president. I was put together with Mr. Yermak. I talked to him. He gave me enormously important facts. I conveyed them all to the State Department, unlike the media lies, the fake news, I wasn’t operating on my own. I was operating at the request of the State Department, and I have to tell you, Sean, I knew this back in November.”

Giuliani admitted in this clip that Trump is illegally using the State Department for partisan political election activity. Trump used the State Department in the same way that he used Michael Cohen in the Stormy Daniels scandal.

The State Department was there to launder Giuliani’s illegal activities, to give Trump deniability and a claim that extorting Ukraine to get dirt on Joe Biden was part of official US government foreign policy.

The whole point of Giuliani going on Fox News was to legitimize Trump’s activities as formal government business while trying to normalize an empty conspiracy theory.

The difference between what Trump did to Hillary Clinton in 2016 and what he is trying to do to Joe Biden today is that Democrats have more power to turn the tables on him. House Democrats are holding a special meeting at 4 PM on Tuesday. Democrats can make Trump the subject of a massive investigation on his Ukraine activies. This could be the basis for impeachment accelerating. Either way, the president is going from investigator to investigated on Ukraine.
