Trump claimed that his wife knew and like Kim Jong-un, but the White House was forced to admit that none of this was true.
Trump said during his G7 press conference, “I also say that, by the way, with respect to North Korea, Kim Jong Un, who I’ve gotten to know extremely well, the first lady has gotten to know Kim Jong Un and I think she would agree with me, he is a man with a country that has tremendous potential.”
There is only one problem. Melania Trump has never met Kim Jong-un.
White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham issued this bit of damage control, “President Trump confides in his wife on many issues including the detailed elements of his strong relationship with Chairman Kim, and while the First Lady hasn’t met him, the President feels like she’s gotten to know him too.”
Donald Trump doesn’t know reality from the fiction in his mind. At a meeting of Democratic nations, Trump took the time to single out one of the most murderous regimes on the planet for praise. Not only does Trump not know when his wife is present, but he also turned a meeting of democratic into a pep rally for Putin and Kim Jong-un.
There were at least a dozen moments in the press conference that one could use to make their case that Trump is not fit to be president, but his fantasy world between his ears is spilling out into ways that can’t be overlooked for the entire world to see.
