Trump’s trade adviser couldn’t handle it when he was confronted with conservatives saying that the US pays Trump’s tariffs.
Peter Navarro, Trum[p’s trade adviser was asked by CNN, “Will you grant the fact that tariffs are not paid by foreigners, but they’re paid by Americans? Will you grant that fact? Listen to the Koch brothers, listen to Ted Cruz will grant that fact that this is where the tariffs are paid?
Navarro responded by attacking CNN, “I just astonished that CNN would quote the Koch brothers as a reliable source for anything. The Koch brothers have fought everything the left stands for. They fought this president on trade ever since he declared for president.”

The left agrees with the Koch brothers on almost nothing, but they and every other business/farm group/sane person in America already know that the tariffs are a tax on American businesses and consumers.
Tariffs are bad trade policy and even worse economic policy. Trump’s own economic adviser would rather attack CNN and the Kochs than admit the truth. The trade war is hurting America.
Trump isn’t looking strong. He is wrecking the US economy.
