Robert Mueller Fears the Truth is Political So He Won’t Testify Publicly

Robert Mueller seems to have succumbed to his party’s attacks on truth, which is truly unfortunate for this nation and a black mark on the Republican’s resume.

Mueller’s team has expressed reticence to him testifying publicly because they do not want him to appear “political,” CNN reported Tuesday afternoon.

“The special counsel’s team has expressed the notion that Mueller does not want to appear political after staying behind the scenes for two years and not speaking as he conducted his investigation into President Donald Trump. One option is to have him testify behind closed doors, but sources caution numerous options are being considered in the negotiations between the committee and the special counsel’s team.”

One option being floated is that Mueller could testify behind closed doors, so the American public can’t hear his testimony.

More worrisome than that is the addition that the Justice Department, led by AG William Barr, who was hand-picked by Trump to protect him from the Mueller report, .are “generally supportive of how the special counsel’s team is proceeding with negotiations.”

Robert Mueller’s report was mangled by Barr in what was an obvious political ploy to protect Trump. Correcting the public’s perception of his own work is not political.

There is no bigger get for Trump than to have successfully instilled in people the idea that the truth is political.

The truth is not political. If it seems that way, it is only because Trump has gaslit a nation into perceiving the truth as something malleable.

The truth is not political, and if Robert Mueller lacks the courage to stand up when no one else in his party will, it will be a black mark on his long, storied career.
