The Trump administration is trying to taking housing assistance away from up to 55,000 citizen children because one of their parents is an immigrant.
According to The Washington Post:
The Department of Housing and Urban Development acknowledged that a Trump administration plan to purge undocumented immigrants from public housing could displace more than 55,000 children who are all legal U.S. residents or citizens.

Current rules bar undocumented immigrants from receiving federal housing subsidies but allow families of mixed-immigration status as long as one person — a child born in the United States or a citizen spouse — is eligible. The subsidies are prorated to cover only eligible residents.
The new rule, pushed by White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller, would require every household member be of “eligible immigration status.”
At the heart of this policy is a desire to harm innocent children. The rule change isn’t about immigration or the use of resources. The Trump administration is trying to punish immigrants by harming their legal resident or citizen children. The level of cruelty is callousness of the White House is something that has not been seen in this nation in nearly a century.
The placing of children in cages on the southern border wasn’t a mistake. It was a policy goal.
Donald Trump is trying to ruin the lives of innocent children because of where their parents were born. Policies such as this one are why Trump is unpopular and steaming toward defeat in 2020.
Trump isn’t just wrong. He’s un-American.
