Trump called for former Sec. of State John Kerry to be prosecuted for an imaginary Logan Act violation.

Trump wants John Kerry prosecuted for violating the Logan Act

Trump said:

John Kerry tells them not to call. That’s a violation of the Logan Act. He should be prosecuted on that. My people don’t want to do anything that’s only the Democrats do that kind of stuff. If it were the opposite way, they’d prosecute him under the Logan act. John Kerry violated the Logan Act. He’s talking to Iran and has been. Has many meetings and many phone calls and he’s telling them what to do. That is a total violation of the Logan Act. What they should be doing is they’re economy is a mess ever since they took away the Iran deal. They have inflation that’s the highest number I’ve ever heard. They are having riots every weekend and during the week.

What they should be doing is calling me up, sitting down, we can make a deal, a fair deal. We just don’t want them to have nuclear weapons. Not too much to ask. We would help put them back into great shape. They are in bad shape right now. I look forward to the day with we can help Iran. We’re not looking to hurt Iran. I want them to be strong and great and have a great economy, but they are listening to John Kerry who has violated a very important element of what he’s supposed to be doing. He violated the Logan Act. Plain and simple. They should call, and if they do, we’re open to talk to them. We have no secrets. They can be very, very strong financially. They have great potential.

The Logan Act Is Trump’s New Distraction

Let’s keep this simple. John Kerry won’t be prosecuted for violating the Logan Act, because unlike Trump, and Mike Flynn, who did so under Trump’s direction, Kerry didn’t violate the Logan Act. John Kerry will be prosecuted for violating the Logan Act when Donald Trump is also prosecuted for violating the Logan Act during the campaign with Putin.

Trump needed a distraction after Barr was found in contempt, his son was subpoenaed, and his tax information was reported on. He has decided to go with John Kerry and the Logan Act. The criminal president is projecting in the hope that it will take your attention away from his own crimes.
