CNN’s Jim Acosta caught Trump is an epically dumb lie, as no presidential approval was required for John McCain’s funeral.
Trump said in Ohio, “I gave him the kind of funeral that he wanted, which as president I had to approve. I don’t care about this. I didn’t get thank you. That’s ok. We sent him on the way, but I wasn’t a fan of John McCain.”

CNN’s Jim Acosta found out that no presidential approval is required for government officials other than former presidents:
Trump did do one thing that John McCain wanted. He didn’t show up. McCain intentionally did not invite Trump to his funeral. Donald Trump had nothing to do with planning or approving anything relating to McCain’s funeral. It was Trump who refused to order the flags lowered to half staff for McCain until a public outcry forced him to do it.
Donald Trump is the only person in America who could fight with a dead man and lose.
