Documents have been requested by the House Judiciary Committee from the NRA about the Trump campaign and their role in communications with Russia.

The House Judiciary Committee is interested in communications between the Trump campaign, NRA, and Russia. The committee has a special interest in any election data and polling information that was shared by the Trump campaign with Russia. They also want to know about any discussions between the Trump campaign and Russia on lifting sanctions.
The Senate is investigating the NRA for illegally funneling Russian money into the Trump campaign and the campaigns of Republican Senate candidates. Special Counsel Robert Mueller is investigating the Trump/Russia/NRA connection. The FBI has been investigating the NRA. The gun lobby has responded to all of these investigations by calling Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and former Rep. Gabby Giffords to be shot.
It is possible that the NRA has been used as a money laundering middle man to get dirty and illegal Russian cash into the campaign of Donald Trump. The House Judiciary Committee has some serious questions for the gun lobby, and they are collecting the sort of information that has the potential to bring the former most feared lobbying organization in America to its knees, and maybe put them out of business.
