MSNBC Bursts Into Laughter Over How Nobody Wants To Work For Trump

The AM Joy panel burst into laughter on Saturday during a discussion about Donald Trump‘s pathetic search for a new chief of staff.

The fact that OMB Director Mick Mulvaney, who already plays multiple roles in the Trump administration, was chosen as acting chief of staff shows how few people wanted the position.

“I heard that even Dennis Rodman turned Trump down for the job,” Mother Jones DC bureau chief David Corn joked. “And also, apparently, Mick Mulvaney teaches at Arthur Murray studios on the weekends. So he will be unavailable on Saturday and Sunday.”

Video:

The exchange:

JOY REID: Trump tried to claim that everybody wanted the job. … No, no one wanted the job. Mick Mulvaney already has 18 jobs in the Trump administration, so now he has to do this, too. What difference will that make?

DAVID CORN: Well, I heard that even Dennis Rodman turned Trump down for the job. And also, apparently, Mick Mulvaney teaches at Arthur Murray studios on the weekends. So he will be unavailable on Saturday and Sunday.

REID: Tiffany Cross suggested maybe Kanye West.

CORN: That would kind of be like having Newt, which almost happened, too. I think we look for comic relief because there is so much tragedy and sadness in this administration.

Not even Mick Mulvaney respects Donald Trump

Trump’s pick of Mick Mulvaney to be his acting chief of staff underscores just how desperate he was to fill the spot instead of facing more humiliating and public rejections. After all, not even Mulvaney respects the president.

Just before the 2016 presidential election, Mulvaney said, “Yes, I am supporting Donald Trump, but I’m doing so despite the fact that I think he’s a terrible human being.”

Like everyone who works for and with this president, Mick Mulvaney probably won’t have to worry too much. His days of being Donald Trump‘s chief of staff are likely already numbered.
