If Manafort Lied About Meeting Assange, Mueller Already Knew

If Paul Manafort lied about meeting with Julian Assange, Robert Mueller already knew because Assange was under surveillance.

NBC News’s Ken Dilanian reported:

NBC News has not independently confirmed it, as you can we’re working furiously to do that right now. What it says is that Paul Manafort began visiting Julian Assange in Ecuador back in 2013, before Donald Trump was a candidate for president, and there’s a possible explanation for why that would be, and that is that at that time Paul Manafort was on the payroll of Ukrainian politicians who are enthralled to Russian oligarchs and Wikileaks is believed by the U.S. Government to be working with the Russian government and trying to discredit the Ukrainian opponents of manafort’s clients. That relationship developed, according to The Guardian and Manafort met with Assange two more times including crucially in March of 2016.

Now, what happened in March of 2016, Craig? John Podesta’s e-mails were phished at that time according to court documents. They were not released until October but the hackers got into Podesta in March of 2016. Very suggestive if true. Here’s the thing about it, if this happened it’s almost certain that the U.S. Government would have known about it because the British were surveilling that embassy electronically once Assange took up residence there in the Ecuadorian embassy in London. Robert Mueller would have known about it all along. It’s almost a spy novel and we’re trying to get to the bottom of it.

Robert Mueller Already Has The Evidence

If The Guardian story is confirmed as true , it illustrates why Trump is freaking out over the Robert Mueller investigation. Trump and his crew can’t lie to Mueller because he already has the evidence. Manafort tried to lie to the Special Counsel and he got what is likely to be a lifetime prison sentence.

There is an ongoing pattern in the Mueller investigation of Trump associates trying to lie to Robert Mueller and getting sent to prison.

Trump can’t be sent to prison while he is president, but if he lied to Robert Mueller in his written answers, it would be grounds for impeachment.

Robert Mueller has the answers before he asks the questions. Trump and his crew are in a panic because they can’t lie their way out of these crimes.
