Donald Trump Jr. Misspells Mollie Tibbetts’ Name In Tweet Politicizing Her Murder

Donald Trump Jr. scored more points on Saturday in the ongoing feud with Eric Trump to see who is the dumbest of the president’s sons.

In a tweet meant to politicize the death of Mollie Tibbetts, a 20-year-old Iowa student who was murdered by a man alleged to be an undocumented immigrant, Trump Jr. couldn’t even spell the woman’s name correctly.

The eldest Trump son was attacking Symone Sanders, a strategist who said Tibbetts’ murder “isn’t about border security. This is about toxic masculinity. Mollie Tibbetts lost her life b/c a man couldn’t take her saying no.”

Trump Jr. responded, “This is what happens when moronic Politically Correct culture is allowed to rule over common sense and rational thinking.”

The Trump family doesn’t care about Mollie Tibbetts

First, let’s make something very clear: The Trump family couldn’t care less about the tragic murder of a 20-year-old woman. Like everything else, they only care how much it can do for them politically.

In the case of Tibbetts, they jumped on early reports that the murderer was an undocumented immigrant – a claim that’s now being disputed – and hoped to use it to bolster the president’s disastrous and inhumane immigration policies.

If this was truly about grieving the loss of someone who had her whole life ahead of her, they would respect the guidance of the Tibbetts family and stop politicizing her death.

But Trump and his band of supporters – and sons – continue to press on, smelling an opportunity to cash in. Republicans are even using it to fuel midterm enthusiasm.

Since we can’t force them to stop being the shameless morons they are, the least they can do when they’re politicizing Mollie Tibbetts’ tragic death is to spell her name correctly.

But honestly, especially when it comes to Donald Trump Jr., the best policy would be to keep your mouth shut.
