In response to questions about Omarosa’s Book, Press Sec. Sarah Sanders blasted Omarosa for trying to make a profit off of working in a White House known for corruption, making a profit off of being there, and using taxpayer money for private travel and anything else they can squeeze out of the job.
“Instead of telling the truth about all the good President Trump and his administration are doing to make America safe and prosperous, this book is riddled with lies and false accusations,” Sanders wrote in a statement sent to PoliticusUSA from the White House via the White House pool. “It’s sad that a disgruntled former White House employee is trying to profit off these false attacks, and even worse that the media would now give her a platform, after not taking her seriously when she had only positive things to say about the President during her time in the administration.”
This is by no means exhaustive, as even at just two years in it’s impossible to list all of the Trump scandals and using the White House for profit, but here’s a rough go at the people profiting from the (often) false attacks that got Trump into the White House in the first place:
– 1.2 billion dollar bailout for Jared Kushner’s 666 5th Avenue
– The many scandals of Scott Pruitt
– Trump’s Commerce Secretary is accused of stealing $120 million from his business partners.
– Allowing his rich buddies who never served in the military to shadow run the VA from Mar-a-Lago with no oversight or transparency or knowledge of what veterans actually need, or even which government agency handles what (one of these geniuses thought the VA was responsible for a veteran’s paperwork, nope that’s the DOD- is Trump secretly privatizing that, too?)
-The Trump Organization sent a letter to the government of Panama threatening that unless they get relief in a private business issue in Panama, there will be retribution on Panama via an angry Trump.
– Citi or Apollo Group in excess of 500 Million dollars to Jared Kushner
– Kushner organization’s using the White House as his “own personal boardroom.”
And then, of course, we have:
-President Trump’s campaign manager currently on trial for illegally laundering millions of dollars from a corrupt Ukrainian regime
and
– Trump’s biggest cheerleader in the House, Congressman Chris Collins, arrested for insider trading
Yeah, wringing this White House and its associates for cash is what the Trump regime is all about, from the top down.
Of course Omarosa used Trump. This is the kind of person he attracts, because this is the kind of person he is.
As for Sanders claiming that her book is based on falsehoods, that remains to be seen, but that is rich coming from the woman who lies daily for the President, a man who was the original birther perpetuating an utterly false attack on President Barack Obama long after (unnecessary) evidence proved Trump was being Trump again – that is, just making crap up.
