House Judiciary Committee Democrat Blows The Lid Off Of The Cover-Up Caucus For Trump

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who serves on the House Judiciary Committee, called House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) an embarrassment and explained how most House Republicans are engaged in a “cover-up caucus” for Trump.

Video:

Rep. Jeffries said of Nunes on MSNBC’s All In With Chris Hayes, “The so-called chairman of the intelligence committee is a complete embarrassment. What is worse is that you have the number four-person signing off on this and we can’t believe what the leadership is saying. When we know what Donald Trump wants to do is get rid of Rod Rosenstein because he wants to get rid of the investigation. ”

Jeffries later discussed how a significant number of House Republicans are running a cover-up scam for Trump, “Significant members of house Republicans are what I call the cover-up caucus. Their sole objective in life is to deny the fact that we have a criminal conspiracy that appears to have taken place to sell out our democracy. They want to turn a blind eye to that and distract the American people in part by doing things like going after Rod Rosenstein.”

These Republicans can be seen anytime a new development occurs in the Mueller investigation. They are the members of Congress who are on the House floor echoing Trump’s tweets and talking points about witch hunts and conspiracies. They are the people who are blocking real investigations from being done on the committees. They are the House members who are selling out America for Trump and deserve to lose their seats in November.

House Democrats are promising to fight corruption and strengthen our election system in the face of Russian attacks as a part of their Better Deal platform, but the first step in ending the corruption is to vote Republicans out of the House in November.
