Ex-Watergate Prosecutor Says Proof Of Trump’s Guilt Is Staring Us Right In The Face

While the political world is speculating on what incriminating evidence Robert Mueller has on Donald Trump, former Watergate prosecutor Nick Akerman said proof of the president’s guilt is staring us right in the face.

According to Akerman, the long and ongoing negotiations between Mueller and Trump show that the president he knows he’s guilty. There is no other way to interpret his behavior.

“If he was really innocent and he really had nothing to hide, he would have gone in there a long time ago,” the ex-Watergate prosecutor said.

The bottom line is he wants to meet with Mueller just like he wants to go in for a root canal. There’s no way he wants to do that. He knows that he can’t go in. If he was really innocent and he really had nothing to hide, he would have gone in there a long time ago. What he has done is not the actions of somebody who is innocent and someone who has nothing to hide. He has done everything he can up to this point to avoid having to talk about this at all with the prosecutors.

Trump will decide within 10 days whether to talk to Mueller

According to a new report from Politico, Rudy Giuliani now says Trump will decide within 10 days whether he plans to sit down for an interview with Robert Mueller.

But all of this gamesmanship – the negotiations, the delays, the timelines – speaks volumes about how terrified the president and his legal team are.

Innocent people don’t need to negotiate the terms of an interview with investigators, because innocent people have nothing to hide. They aren’t afraid to answer questions truthfully, because the truth is on their side.

In the case of Trump, it’s clear he has plenty to conceal. Nowhere is that more obvious than his increasingly desperate efforts to negotiate his way out of a meaningful interview with special counsel Robert Mueller.
