Adam Schiff Says Trump May Have Been Laundering Money For Russia

Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, brought up the possibility that Trump may be compromised because he was laundering money for Russia,

Video:

Schiff said, “I certainly think he’s acting like someone who’s compromised, and it may very well be that he is compromised or it may very well be that he believes that he’s compromised, that the Russians have information on him. We were not permitted to look into one of the allegations that was most serious to me, and that is were the Russians laundering money through the Trump organization? The Republicans wouldn’t allow us to go near that. I hope that Bob Mueller’s investigating it, because again, if that’s the leverage the Russians are using, it would not only explain the president’s behavior, but it would help protect the country by knowing that in fact our president was compromised.”

Adam Schiff was pointing toward Trump’s tax returns

Schiff said that Republicans on the Intelligence Committee wouldn’t let them investigate potential Trump money laundering for Russia. What he meant by that is that Republicans won’t let investigators near Trump’s finances and tax returns. The great unanswered question about Trump and his tax returns is what is he trying to hide? The American people have gotten some very strong suggestions given Trump’s behavior toward Russia of what that might be.

Rep. Schiff brought up a great point. We have no evidence that Trump is compromised, but he is acting like someone who is compromised. Equally as important is the idea that he is acting like someone who thinks he’s compromised, which strongly suggests that there is something out there related to Russia that would be potentially politically fatal for Trump.

Robert Mueller has it, and if Democrats take back the House, it is now a certainty that they will be investigating Trump money laundering in 2019.
