As Mueller Closes In, Trump To Hold Private Meeting With Putin Before Summit

Even though he is being investigated for potential crimes committed with Russia, Donald Trump is going to hold a private one on one meeting with Putin before their July 16 summit.

CNN reported, “President Donald Trump plans to meet one-on-one with Vladimir Putin at the start of their July 16 summit in Helsinki, Finland, according to a person familiar with the plans, before allowing other aides to join the highly anticipated encounter with the Russian leader. The meeting will be the first formal summit talks between them. They have met previously on the sidelines of conferences.”

The charade that Trump and Putin need to build their relationship isn’t fooling anyone

Trump loves to hide things from the American people. Secret meetings like the one that he is holding with Putin are part of the way that this president attempts to govern in darkness, but secret meetings with the country that you are currently being investigated for potential crimes with ahead of a midterm election is the sort of behavior that has come to be expected of Trump. The problem with Trump’s one on one meetings is that there is no public record of the conversation. The American people have no idea what Trump is talking to Putin about or promising an enemy of the United States.

Trump and Putin have known each other for decades. There is no need for “relationship building” as the White House calls such hidden from the public meetings. With Robert Mueller getting closer to him each day, Trump appears to be frantically trying to fill Russia’s wish list for US foreign policy, and not unreasonable to suspect that Trump is selling out his country in these secret meetings with Putin.
