Mueller’s indictment also included charges of tax evasion, money laundering, and working as an unregistered foreign agent. The new name in the indictment is Manafort’s Ukranian associate Konstantin Kilimnik.
It isn’t a coincidence that Robert Mueller indicted Paul Manafort for the same crimes that President Trump is under investigation for, and that this indictment comes days after Trump’s propaganda arm Sean Hannity told Mueller’s witnesses to destroy evidence. The new Manafort indictment is a loud and strong message to Trump and his allies that obstruction of justice will not be tolerated.
Trump is running out of options, so he and his supporters tried to use Fox News to obstruct the Russia investigation. What Sean Hannity did on the air was a crime, and Robert Mueller is making it known that anyone who tries to commit this crime is going to get themselves into a world of legal hurt.
