Laura Ingraham’s Fox News advertisers are fleeing fast as the boycott inspired by her attack on David Hogg has caused five companies to pull their ads.
Ingraham issued an insincere apology on Twitter that was aimed at stopping the advertiser exodus, but it has not worked.
Hogg tweeted a list of at least 12 of Ingraham’s advertisers:
Pick a number 1-12 contact the company next to that #

After Laura Ingraham’s apology/non-apology, Hogg tweeted:
I 100% agree an apology in an effort just to save your advertisers is not enough. I will only accept your apology only if you denounce the way your network has treated my friends and I️ in this fight. It’s time to love thy neighbor, not mudsling at children. https://t.co/H0yWs4zMGk

Reuters reported that two more advertisers have pulled their ads from Ingraham’s show, which brings the total number of advertisers who have bailed to five, “At least five companies said on Thursday they were dropping advertisements from Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show after the conservative pundit mocked a teenage survivor of the Florida school massacre on Twitter and he responded with a call for a boycott.”
Laura Ingraham, Fox News, the Republican Party and the NRA are getting a lesson in the power of a pure people’s movement. Insincere apologies for show are not going to cut it with the young people of America who have had enough of business as usual. People like David Hogg are not going to allow themselves to be turned into the enemy because they want to be safe when they go to school, or church, or the movies.
The Stoneman Douglas shooting was a turning point on the issue of school shootings. The old rules no longer apply. If Ingraham wants to keep her Fox News show, she can do the right thing. There will be no more blaming gun violence victims because they don’t like being shot. If Laura Ingraham doesn’t wise up fast, she is going to be out of a job at Fox News.
The leaders of the Parkland movement, like David Hogg, aren’t playing around.
