An Axios article reveals what comes as a surprise to exactly no one: Trump’s White House is a miserable place to work.
Explains one anonymous, exasperated White House official:
“This is the most toxic working environment on the planet. Usually tough times bring people together. But right now this atmosphere is ripping people apart. There’s no leadership, no trust, no direction and this point there’s very little hope. Would you want to go to work every day not knowing whether your future career was going to be destroyed without explanation?”
Remember, Donald Trump has no practical experience running an organization where other voices need to be heard, and other opinions need to be respected and thoughtfully-considered. What he does have practical experience in is running a family business into the ground repeatedly, and filing for bankruptcy.
This lack of leadership that has naturally lead to rock-bottom morale has logically resulted in a record number of resignations and an astonishing number of lingering vacancies that, evidently, can only be filled by shuffling some remaining sycophant from one position to another… just ask Mike Pompeo.
