WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Donald Trump’s former campaign aide Rick Gates will plead guilty on Friday afternoon to charges of conspiracy against the United States and lying to investigators from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office, according to court records.
The hearing is set for 2 p.m. on Friday. He had been facing much more serious charges, including bank fraud and conspiracy to launder money.
