Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) told Trump he needs to get off his and do something about gun violence and school shootings.
Mouton tweeted after Trump offered empty prayers to the victims of the Parkland shooting:
I agree with every word @realDonaldTrump said here. I invite him to get off his ass and join me in trying to do something about it. https://t.co/XV0hRENr4B

America is demanding action on gun violence and mass shootings
Rep. Moulton isn’t alone. Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg told CNN, “It’s something we really need to take a look at. The fact that this is the 18th school shooting and this is only February is a testament to where this country has come and how far — we need to dig out of this hole. We need to step out of it and realize there’s something seriously wrong here. Some of our policymakers and some people need to look in the mirror and take some action. Ideas are great, but without action, ideas stay ideas, and children die.”
Trump isn’t good at doing things. As president, doing things is defined as governing. Donald Trump has no interest in governing. His primary goal appears to be to work as little as possible between Monday and Thursday so that he can take off to one of his properties and golf each weekend.
America is demanding action, and if Republicans refuse to act, voters are going to elect a slate of candidates who will.
The days of Republicans skating by after each mass shooting by offering thoughts and prayers are coming to an end.
