Coward Paul Ryan Refuses To Criticize Trump For Hiring Wife Beater Rob Porter

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) couldn’t even take a stand against Trump on the issue of domestic violence at his weekly press conference.

When he was asked if the White House should condemn domestic violence, Ryan said, “Absolutely. I can’t speak to what he said because I don’t know the answer to what he did. Clearly we should — come on. Clearly, we should all be condemning domestic violence. If a person who commits domestic violence gets in government, there’s a breakdown in the system. There’s a breakdown in the vetting system, and that needs to be addressed.”

Even on domestic violence, Paul Ryan continues to enable Trump

Ryan’s answer was what Trump enablement looks like. The breakdown in the system concerning Rob Porter is that Donald Trump knew that Porter was a wife beater and still hired him. That’s the entire problem in a nutshell. No matter what Donald Trump does, Paul Ryan is going to continue to enable him by giving the president a free pass. There is no breakdown in the system. The system did what it was supposed to do. The FBI gave the information to the White House, and the White House ignored it.

That’s all anyone needs to know.

The problem is Donald Trump, and by extension, Paul Ryan before he refuses to hold this president accountable for anything.

If Democrats take back the House, and the pundit class tries to figure out how it happened, the answer will be that when the American people wanted a Congress that would check and balance Trump, Paul Ryan was too busy playing willing sycophant to do his job.
