Trump Devastated As FBI Director Blasts GOP Memo For Containing Inaccurate Information

Trump’s PR effort to kill the Russia investigation was handed a devastating blow as FBI Director Christopher Wray opposes the release of the memo because it contains inaccurate information and a false narrative.

Bloomberg News reported, “FBI Director Christopher Wray has informed the White House of his opposition to releasing a controversial, classified GOP memo alleging bias at the FBI and Justice Department because it contains inaccurate information and paints a false narrative, according to a person familiar with the matter.”

Trump is going to release the memo

Trump was overheard at the State Of The Union telling a Republican lawmaker that he is 100% sure that he is going to release the memo, so the warnings from the FBI Director and the White House review process are a sham. Trump is going to release a memo that the FBI doesn’t want to be released, because he is at war with the top domestic law enforcement agency in the country , and won’t stop until he either is impeached or the Russia investigation is dead.

The FBI Director’s opposition is devastating

The FBI Director’s opposition to the release of the document is devastating for Trump because the memo is going to be treated like a piece of partisan fantasy by the press. The impact of the memo has now been minimized, so if Trump was planning on using it as cover to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, his excuse is gone. The opposition of Wray is certain to cause a split between the congressional Republicans who care about national security and supporting the intelligence community and those who are only out to protect Trump.

The memo is going to give Fox News and the far right a new talking point on the Russia scandal, but Trump’s efforts to fire Rosenstein and Mueller will not be bolstered by the release of House Republican Russia scandal fake news.

Instead of a silver bullet, Trump is shooting himself in the foot with an obvious attempt to obstruct and discredit the Russia investigation.
