Special Counsel Robert Mueller wants to talk to Donald Trump, and people close to Trump are warning the President to stay away because Mueller is, “a killer.”
The Washington Post reported:
However, some of Trump’s close advisers and friends fear a face-to-face interview with Mueller could put the president in legal jeopardy. A central worry, they say, is Trump’s lack of precision in his speech and his penchant for hyperbole.
People close to Trump have tried to warn him for months that Mueller is a “killer,” in the words of one associate, noting that the special counsel has shown interest in the president’s actions.
A killer is a really good way to describe Mueller. He isn’t someone who is going to be pushed around or snowed by the president’s egotistical word salad rants. The reason why those close to Trump are terrified of him sitting down with the Special Counsel goes to the root of Trump’s character. Donald Trump is a pathological liar who can’t tell the truth. It’s doubtful that Trump has any idea what the truth is.
Trump is a man who has spent almost all of his adult life in a fictional world of his own creation. If the President sits down with Special Counsel, the only thing that everyone can be sure of is that he will lie. Trump will lie often and frequently.
Donald Trump thinks that he can handle Robert Mueller, but he is also the same man who thought that he could handle the presidency.
If Trump lies to Mueller, he will be charged with perjury, and perjury is an impeachable offense.
It looks like an unavoidable collision course. Robert Mueller will ask Trump questions. Trump will lie, and the consequences could paralyze national politics.
