Even as Republicans tour cable news to declare that the indictments against two people who worked for his campaign and reports that one adviser pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about Russia isn’t about collusion, Chief White House ethics lawyer for President George W. Bush from ’05 to ’07 Richard Painter said this is about collusion and it’s bad news.
“Papadopolous is the big one – lesser charges but it is about collusion. And he is cooperating. Bad news for Trump,” Painter wrote on Twitter.

George Papadopoulos lied to the FBI about talking to the Russians while working for the Trump campaign.
The fact that Papadopoulos is cooperating with the FBI means bad things for the Trump campaign.
