Steve Bannon will return to Breitbart after leaving the White House and a Bannon friend says Breitbart is ramping up for a war against Trump, NBC News/MSNBC contributor Gabe Sherman reported.
President Trump can’t afford his propaganda machine at Breitbart to turn on him, but more imminently perhaps, Congressional Republicans can’t afford for the conservative base to turn on the President.
This statement doesn’t bode well for Trump’s future coverage at Breitbart:
Bannon is claiming he resigned two weeks ago, which is hard to believe given the way this White House leaks. The White House is claiming “White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve’s last day.”
Joel Pollak, who writes at Breitbart, tweeted “#WAR” at 1:18 PM:
The drama is high:
A threat is made of a “fully unchained” Steve Bannon:
If Breitbart goes to war on the White House, a war will break out among far right conservatives.
The fallout could be exceptionally damaging to Congressional Republicans in the 2018 midterms, especially those in red states in districts that went big for Trump.
