Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) is openly questioning Trump’s mental stability, competence, and character, as Republicans are starting to come forward with serious criticisms of their own president.

Sen. Corker said:
Corker’s comments are a continuation of a trend. Republican members of Congress don’t respect Trump, and they aren’t afraid of him. As Trump attacks Republicans like Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), one suspects more Senators will begin to come forward to express their concerns about Trump’s comptence and mental stability.
If you listen closely, off in the distance, you can hear the faint echos of floodgates beginning to open against Trump. The only reason why some Republicans are holding their tongues right now is that they want Trump to sign a massive tax cut package for the wealthy. Once the tax cut bill is passed and signed, congressional Republicans will have gotten what they wanted and they will be free to break with Trump.
Republicans aren’t going to stand with Trump while he defends and supports racists. Trump is making a big mistake if he thinks that he can bully and bluster members of Congress into line. The relationship between this president and the Congress that is controlled by his own party is getting worse by the day. The failure to repeal Obamacare was just the beginning. Americans are witnessing the Republican Party burn itself to the ground as a full scale war is in the verge of breaking out between Trumpism and what is left of the GOP.
