Instead of attending the memorial service for Heather Heyer, Donald Trump did the bare minimum by tweeting about her once.
Trump tweeted:
It is worth remembering that President Obama attended the memorial service for the Charleston, South Carolina white supremacist terrorist attack and sang Amazing Grace:
White House officials admitted why they wouldn’t send Trump to Charlottesville, “The official also conceded that it was unlikely that this president would be able to deliver rousing, healing oratory that is demanded in such a dire situation. Trump, the fear went, could potentially worsen matters by being there.”
Trump held a press conference to defend the racist beliefs that led to the murder of Heather Heyer, but he doesn’t have the courage to show his face at her memorial service. An American died in an act of domestic terrorism, and all the President does is tweet.
America needs a president, not a racist tweeter in chief.
