In A Must See Video, Comedy Central Pulls Off The Ultimate Take Down Of The GOP Health Care Bill

Comedy Central has perfectly captured everything that is wrong with the Republican attitude about healthcare and their legislation in one hilarious video.

The voiceover sums up the entire Republican mentality on health care, “As premiums rise and Obamacare implodes it’s no secret our Health Care is a disaster. Americans are angry… and afraid. Republicans have heard your voices, and after weeks of secret meetings, we’re proud to announce… the American Health Box. Here’s how it works. Every month, for less than the cost of an iPhone, we’ll mail you a box of new and used medical supplies right to your front door. Pre-existing condition? No sweat! If you eliminate doctors and fancy hospitals from the equation, it’s amazing how affordable your illness can be. No more necessary surgeries, just American Health Box…..American Health Box, it’s the best we could come up with.”

The ad captures the perfectly horrible way that this shoddy legislation was put together with only the input of 13 old rich white Republican men. The healthcare bill is a joke, but as Comedy Central’s video points out, it is also a disaster waiting to happen.

The American Health Box is a slightly exaggerated version of the Republican belief that they could easily come up with their own health care bill, but instead of a plan, the country has gotten a half-assed box that will do more harm than good.

Watch this video, laugh, and think about how close the nation is to completely inadequate healthcare that could kill.
