Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) said she hasn’t seen any health care bill text yet this morning because she is not a lobbyist or a reporter.
The Republican Senator told Haley Byrd, who covers Congress for the Independent Journal Review, that she has seen nothing so far.
I just asked Lisa Murkowski if she's seen any bill text this morning. "I am not a reporter, and I am not a lobbyist, so I've seen nothing."

Republicans accuse Obamacare of catering to special interests, and yet they are crafting a bill in the dark, refusing even 10 hours of debate when Obamacare had a total of 270 hours of debate, and they aren’t even showing their own members a bill they will be expected to vote yes on in a short two weeks, with no town halls or public input.
The healthcare sector after Obamacare was a large part of the economic recovery from the Bush crash. “At the end of 2013, the healthcare industry enjoyed a 135% three-year growth rate and brought in $21.8 billion, making it one of the fastest-growing industries large part of the economic recovery”, creating a steady rise in healthcare employment .
Yes, the rise in employment is tied to Obamacare, “The growth can be attributed to healthcare’s rapid expansion, which is mainly a result of The Affordable Care Act. Between 2014-2024, employment in the healthcare industry is projected to grow at 21 percent. In comparison, the second-fastest growing sector, construction, will only grow at 13 percent.”
Additionally, healthcare is the 5th largest segment of our economy and peoples lives are literally on the line. It is not something to jam through just to score a political win for President Trump and Republicans.
This reckless and careless act is undemocratic and unAmerican.
Republicans are hoarding their secret bill from their own members.
