GOP Members Of Congress Experience The Domestic Gun Violence Terror That Haunts America Daily

Five people were shot at a Republican practice for the Congressional baseball game. The media and political leaders are calling the shooting a tragedy, but what it is just another day of domestic gun violence terror in the United States of America.

Because the victims of today’s shooting were a Republican politician, staff, and police, The President Of The United States issued a statement, “The Vice President and I are aware of the shooting incident in Virginia and are monitoring developments closely. We are deeply saddened by this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the members of Congress, their staffs, Capitol Police, first responders, and all others affected.”

However, before the shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and others, there were 10 mass shootings in the United States in the last nine days.
Those shootings killed 13 people who lived in both red and blue states. The worst of the attacks was a workplace shooting in Orlando that killed six people. When that shooting occurred on June 6, the President made no statement or comment.

The reality is that America is in the middle of a gun violence domestic terror epidemic.

Today, it was a member of Congress, staff, and Capitol Police. Tomorrow, it might be children at school, people going to the store, individuals at work or church, or any other normal daily activity. The answer isn’t as easy as passing a bill or not passing a bill. There is a deeper cultural problem in America.

Common sense legislation may be a treatment for the symptom, but the disease is a mentality that views mass acts of domestic violence as acceptable behavior.

Insulated and privileged members of Congress got a taste of the threat that most Americans live with every single day.

Let’s hope this wakes them up.
