The tide is shifting against Trump as Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) told reporters that if the Comey memo is true, it is grounds for impeachment.
Via Katie Bo Williams of The Hill:
While Republican congressional leadership continues to support Trump, there are growing signs that the members are getting increasingly nervous. Republicans had up until this point been a unified wall of support for Trump, but that defense is beginning to crack.
It would take any party a great deal of time to turn on their own president, but little by little day by day, some Republicans are starting to understand that it isn’t a matter of Trump or us, but Trump and us. If Republicans continue to protect Trump, they will go down with the President.
Amash is the first House Republican to suggest impeachment, but if the Comey memo is real, he won’t be the last.
