Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said what no one else is saying by slamming Republicans who are refusing to grow a spine on the Russia scandal until they get what they want out of Trump.

Rep. Schiff said, “They all want something from this president before the wheels come completely off. They want their tax cuts. They want their regulatory repeal of the mining regulations etcetera, and then they’ll find their spine. There are a few people who are speaking out, and I think frankly, this is John McCain’s finest hour, probably his most important public service since Vietnam is what he’s doing right now. I wish we had more Republicans in the House or even one Republican in the House who is willing to follow his example.”
What Schiff was referring to was the deal with the devil that Congressional Republicans appear to have made where they ignore Russia’s role in the 2016 election and the increasingly obvious Trump collusion with Russia in exchange for political power.
After Republicans have rushed to get tax cuts, health care, and regulatory repeal, then it will be time to throw Trump and his administration under the bus.
The media rarely talks about the complicit enabling of the Republican Congressional majority of the Trump/Russia scandal. Republicans put country last when they choose to slow walk or foot drag on the Russia investigation.
