Did Trump Drop The Mother Of All Bombs To Distract From Russia Scandal Bombshell?

It is not a coincidence that US forces used the biggest non-nuclear bomb in US history on the same day that a bombshell revelation took the president’s Russia scandal to the level of an impeachable offense.

US officials claim that the mother of all bombs was dropped in Afghanistan in an effort to take out an ISIS cave and tunnel complex in Afghanistan. “As ISIS-K’s losses have mounted, they are using IEDs, bunkers and tunnels to thicken their defense,” said General John W. Nicholson, Commander, U.S. Forces – Afghanistan. “This is the right munition to reduce these obstacles and maintain the momentum of our offensive against ISIS-K.”

However, the bombing came on the same day that reports are swirling that the FBI has evidence that people in the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government to use hacked material to influence the presidential election.
As president, Trump quickly discovered the limits of screaming on Twitter as a distraction technique. A Twitter account that the president himself thought would be able to change the course of political discussion has become the political equivalent of screaming on a street corner. As his problems have worsened, Trump has needed bigger distractions.

The President stumbled onto one of those big distractions after cable news went gaga over his Syria missile strike. Trump is savvy when it comes to media manipulation. Is dropping the “mother of all bombs” on Afghanistan the next step in distraction campaign to boost Trump’s historically awful poll numbers?

With any other president, the question would be absurd, but Donald Trump has earned presumed skepticism by uttering constant lies, misstatements, and falsehoods.

It may all be a coincidence, but it is interesting that on the same day that an important Russia scandal revelation surfaces, the Trump administration literally drops the biggest non-nuke in history.

Only a fool would give this untrustworthy president the benefit of the doubt.
