White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer claimed at his press conference Tuesday that “No, that’s above my pay grade,” when he was asked if he had evidence to back up Trump’s wiretapping claim against Obama.
Today, Former White House press secretary Jay Carney said that just ain’t so, that in fact, Sean Spicer’s pay grade is as high as it gets in the White House:
Actually, his "pay grade" is the highest possible at WH – same as for chief of staff, national security and other senior personnel. https://t.co/V3BENwFHjI

You’ll remember that Sean Spicer didn’t know a lot about anything, being unable to answer a question about why Trump needs an investigation about Obama wiretapping him if he already has proof.
And after all, Trump claimed to have proof, when he tweeted,
“Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!”
Things just aren’t working well in the Trump administration, despite all Trump’s claims to the contrary. They all have their stories but none of them have the same story.
And Sean Spicer’s performance is yet another comedic chapter in Trump’s theater of horrors, as John Harwood and Katy Tur, demonstrated in a pair of tweets:

We realize things are hard for Trump’s people, trying to keep up with the liar-in-chief, but this evasion of responsibility is getting out of hand. Nobody seems to know anything, and Trump appears to be saying that the information is above even his own pay grade.
That’s right. You don’t have to go to SNL for SNL-quality material. You just have to follow Donald Trump and Sean Spicer. But Sean Spicer knows that, because nothing is above his pay grade.
