We need it now,” Senator Elizabeth Warren tweeted Wednesday night after a report that Jeff Sessions lied under oath when he said he had no contacts with Russia as a member of the Trump campaign.

Warren is joined by Democratic Senators Amy Klobuchar (MN), Jeanne Shaheen (NH), and Intelligence Committee Member Ron Wyden (OR) in calling for Sessions’ resignation, and in the House, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (CA).
Warren called for a special prosecutor:
We need a special prosecutor totally independent of the AG. We need a real, bipartisan, transparent Congressional investigation into Russia.

She mocked Trump’s claims that the Russia story is “fake news”:

Yes, the “law and order” President is surrounded by lawless, ethics violating people for some reason. He seems to have picked on as his top prosecutor as well.
Senator Warren is not impressed.
