Trump Basically Admits That The United States, Not Mexico, Would Pay For His Wall

After spending over 15 months promising to build a Mexico-funded wall on the southern border of the United States to stop the “flood” of undocumented workers, Donald Trump basically admitted that the U.S. will be paying to construct the wall in a “major policy address” in Gettysburg on Saturday.

In the speech, Trump told the crowd to not “worry about” the plan’s tweak, but according to a summary of Trump’s speech on his website, his proposed “End Illegal Immigration Act” says the United States would fully fund “the construction of a wall on our southern border with the full understanding that the country Mexico will be reimbursing the United States for the full cost of such wall.”

We all know what this means: the United States will be paying for Trump’s proposed wall, despite his repeated ridiculous claims that Mexico will be funding it.

Most sensible Americans knew from the beginning that Mexico would not be paying for Donald Trump’s wall. Now it appears that even Trump himself has conceded this fact.

Sad!
