While speaking to a group of conservative Christian evangelical leaders in New York, Donald Trump opened the door to calling Hillary Clinton a secret Muslim by questioning her Christian faith.

Trump said:
Now, she’s been in the public eye for years and years, and yet there’s no — there’s nothing out there. There’s like nothing out there. It’s going to be an extension of Obama, but it’s going to be worse, because with Obama you had your guard up. With Hillary you don’t, and it’s going to be worse.
So I think people were saying, some of the people were saying let’s pray for our leaders, and I say well, you can pray for our leaders. I agree with that pray for everyone, but what you really have to do is pray to get everybody out to vote for one specific person and we can’t be all politically correct again and say we pray for all of our leaders because all of your leaders are selling Christianity down the tubes. Selling evangelicals down the tubes, and it’s a very, very bad thing that’s happening.
What Trump was hinting at was that Hillary Clinton isn’t a real Christian, and if Clinton isn’t a Christian, then she could also be a secret Muslim like President Obama. In other words, Trump was expanding his religion conspiracy theory to include Hillary Clinton. It will be up to a reporter to ask Trump if thinks that Clinton might be a secret Muslim.
It is easy to see from a mile away what Trump’s answer will be. The presumptive Republican nominee will say something like, “Hillary has been in the public eye for decades, and we don’t know if she is a Christian. We don’t know what religion she really is.”
Trump is setting up a conspiracy theory about Hillary Clinton that is completely nuts, and there is no doubt that at some point Trump will suggest, hint, or imply that Clinton like President Obama, is also a secret Muslim.
