New Disaster For Donald Trump: Judge On Trump’s SCOTUS List Mocked Him On Twitter

Last updated on July 17th, 2023 at 06:59 pm

Trump’s latest attempt to look presidential blew up in his face when one of the 11 judges who he put on his publicly released Supreme Court short list was revealed to have a history of mocking him on Twitter.

The presumptive Republican nominee hyped up his list of 11 judges that he would appoint to the Supreme Court, “Justice Scalia was a remarkable person and a brilliant Supreme Court Justice. His career was defined by his reverence for the Constitution and his legacy of protecting Americans’ most cherished freedoms. He was a Justice who did not believe in legislating from the bench and he is a person whom I held in the highest regard and will always greatly respect his intelligence and conviction to uphold the Constitution of our country. The following list of potential Supreme Court justices is representative of the kind of constitutional principles I value and, as President, I plan to use this list as a guide to nominate our next United States Supreme Court Justices.”

The problem is that one of Trump’s 11 potential Supreme Court Justices has a history of mocking him on Twitter.

From the Twitter account of Justice Don Willett:

Justice Willett mocked Trump’s tweets:

Justice Willett on Trump Airlines:

And more:

In a bit of irony, Justice Willett expressed concern over who Trump might name to the Supreme Court:

These sorts of things don’t happen to campaigns that have staffs that vet the people on their lists before they make them public. Disasters such as this one are becoming a daily event for the Trump campaign, and they are caused by a nominee and staff who are in way over their heads.

If Trump can’t go a day without making a bad decision as a presidential candidate, what does that suggest about what will happen if he wins the White House? This would never happen to any serious potential leader of the free world, but it keeps happening over and over again to Donald Trump for a reason.

Trump is doing his best to send voters a daily signal not to elect him. He is a catastrophe waiting to happen. Donald Trump would make George W. Bush look competent as president. The red flags are obvious, and if voters make the mistake of electing Trump, they will get exactly what they deserve.
