Stunning Poll Reveals Hillary Clinton And Donald Trump Are Tied In Georgia

A new poll of Georgia revealed that Hillary Clinton could turn the Peach State blue as she is in a statistical tie with Donald Trump.

According to a new poll from WSB 2, Trump edges Clinton 42%-41% in the state. Trump leads with men 46%-39%, but Hillary Clinton leads with women 44%-39%. Clinton leads Trump with African-American voters 73%-9%. Trump leads with white voters 60%-25%. Clinton also leads with Independents 36%-28%, with 38% undecided.

Georgia could be a true swing state in 2016. Hillary Clinton has a real opportunity to swing the state into the Democratic column. The Clinton campaign has sent signals that both Georgia and North Carolina are targets for the likely Democratic nominee. If Clinton wants to win Georgia, the state is there for the taking.

Clinton specifically mentioned Georgia during a recent interview on ABC’s This Week, and the reason why is the state’s rapidly growing minority population, “In the last decade, Georgia’s minority population has gone from 37%-44%. Eighty-one percent of the state’s population growth has come from minorities. Blacks and Hispanics account for Georgia’s population growth, and those two groups of voters are why the Clinton campaign seems to be gearing up to make a serious push to win Georgia.”

Former Sec. of State Clinton is aiming to break the Republican Party’s stronghold on the South. If Clinton makes flipping Georgia a priority, Republicans will be forced to defend a state that they have long accepted as a given in presidential election years.

Democrats are coming for Georgia, and the nomination of Donald Trump has made it twice as tough for Republicans to stop her.
