Hillary Clinton picked up a large and immediate win in the big delegate state of Florida.
A bellwether in the NBC News exit polling was that by a margin of 53%-31% voters wanted a continuation of President Obama’s policies. The Florida win was no surprise for Clinton. As part of a continuing pattern, not only did Clinton win another state, but she won another Southern big delegate prize by a large margin.
Hillary Clinton is steadily moving towards clinching the Democratic nomination with a strategy that maximizes every possible delegate that she can get in all 50 states.
Clinton learned from 2008, and she is not leaving any stone unturned in the search for delegates, and her efforts are paying off. Clinton could be poised for a big night if she wins in Ohio and Illinois. If Clinton wins Ohio, Florida, and North Carolina, it will be nearly impossible for Bernie Sanders to catch up to her in the race for the nomination.
Clinton’s margin of victory is key in Florida. If she wins Florida by a big margin, she will win the delegate count for the night. Supporters focus on the number of states won, but Hillary Clinton’s Florida victory shows that margin of victory in the big delegate states is what matters the most.
