Hillary Clinton Storms Into 2016 With The Official Launch Of Her Presidential Campaign

It’s official. In a video message to supporters, Hillary Clinton announced that she is hitting the road to earn your vote in her bid to be the next President Of The United States.

Video:

Clinton’s 2016 announcement of her candidacy was much better than her 2008 launch. There is no in it to win it moment here. Former Sec. Clinton also has a theme for her campaign. Appealing to middle-class economics worked for President Obama in 2012, and it will be even more effective for Clinton in 2016.

The media is already pouting over Clinton’s decision to cut them out of the process by making her announcement on social media first. Mainstream press types are also angry that she is not doing a big rollout and speech that they can cover, pick apart, and criticize.

In reality, it is very smart of former Sec. Clinton to start small. Because both parties have moved up their nominating conventions, the 2016 general election campaign is going to be long. Mrs. Clinton has no serious opposition on the Democratic side, so it makes sense for her to build grassroots relationships in key states.

There will hopefully be a few Democratic primary debates, but, for the most part, the Clinton campaign is going to have a lot of time to fill between now and November 2016.

With one tweet, things just got real for 2016. President Obama continues to deliver a historic presidency. In many ways, this president has laid much of the groundwork for the next Democratic nominee to be successful. It is easy to see a campaign unfolding where Republicans spend their time chasing the shiny objects they like to call Clinton scandals while the Democratic nominee spends her time piling up support from voters by talking about the issues that really matter.

A campaign focused on the economy and middle-class could be a winner for Democrats, as Hillary Clinton has taken her first step on a journey that she hopes will end at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
